So- I finally have the new site almost completed
and the blog functioning as is is supposed to – mostly.
This is the quiet time of year for entertainment. This is the time when many entertainers do one of two things.
1. Rest and prepare for the new year of entertaining audiences – this may include developing new routines and shows or simply stopping to recover from the previous year. ![]()
2. Evaluate what they have done over the past year and potentially increase prices or develop a new marketing plan for their business.
3. Reduce their pricing in hopes of getting new shows as, being the slow season, we want whatever we can get.
I personally prescribe to 1 and 2 – definitely not 3. My thinking is simple really. If you are truly worth what you charge for your shows then why change your pricing. Sure some entertainers definitely think they are better than they are… but by changing to suit the season or just to get certain shows an enterrtainer pulls into question both the quality and integrity of their shows and business dealings.
